Each device vendor publishes its own minimum signal, signal-to-noise and roaming thresholds, and they rarely agree with each other. The network has to satisfy the strictest one everywhere that device is used.
Usual failures
The design targets a generic -67 dBm everywhere, and the pumps disconnect in the rooms nobody surveyed.
