HIGHER EDUCATION

Nobody on your campus should have to think about the Wi-Fi.

We engineer campus Wi-Fi for full lecture halls, dense residences and research labs. We prove it works before we hand it back to you.

Campus Wi-Fi has to serve dense classrooms, residence halls that behave like apartment buildings, research equipment with unusual requirements, and a student body that expects wired-quality wireless everywhere. SemFio Networks designs and validates campus wireless for that reality.

CAMPUS WI-FI

Does this sound like your campus?

Lecture halls and auditoriums

200 - 1000+ seats, high ceilings, concrete and steel, every device awake at once.

Hundreds of clients in one room, mounting options dictated by the architecture, and adjacent halls interfering with each other. Lecture capture and polling need the network to work in real time.

Usual failures

Omni antennas in a high-ceiling room. You get overlapping coverage everywhere and less capacity.

What we do

Capacity modelled per room based on real measurements, directional placement where it makes sense, multiple AP placement options, validation with the room full.

WHY THEY CHOSE SEMFIO
We were very happy with the outcome. The SemFio team was great to work with, accommodating, easy going, no complaints from our side. They were glad to get into the classrooms while the students were there, which is what we needed to understand how the network really behaves. The report gave us a lot of good information. We would work with them again, and we'd definitely recommend their services.

NEXT STEP

Let's look at your hardest room first.

A short call, and we will tell you whether it is a design problem, a configuration problem, or nothing at all.
